Spring Season
The spring season runs from early April until early June. Each team will play 12-14 regular season games (two games per week) and will participate in two tournaments. Coaches also typically run 1 practice per week. Games are played at local playing fields in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Games will run Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Practices will be at the coaches pick.

All innings are with players pitching (no pitching machine), and base stealing is introduced at this level. All players will get plenty of opportunities to bat, and are encouraged to learn all fielding positions. Outs are recorded, and scores are kept.

There are two tournaments held during the Spring Season -- one at the mid-season point and the other at the end of the season. For tournament play, teams will be split into divisions. Each tournament division will consist of teams of similar caliber and standing, thereby giving each team a fair and reasonable chance to win. These tournaments are a lot of fun and let the kids demonstrate their skills in tournament play.

Mosquito Selects
MSET is our competitive spring program. These teams are in addition to a player's spring house team. Teams will be picked from evaluations. Please be aware, those that play Selects are not guaranteed a spot on the summer ball team. There is an additional fee.

Summer “All Star” Mosquito Program
The 2021 Summer All Star program will be much more competitive this season.  RMMBA has adopted a new and more focused direction that will provide more training and development to help our teams be as prepared as possible for their run to the Provincials. There is an opportunity to create and maintain many teams at this level from within our organization and RMMBA will make as many opportunities open to our players as possible.

All Star try-outs will be held over one weekend near the end of May. Practices will begin the week following.  The summer program will begin full time mid-June until the end of July. Mosquito “All Star” teams represent Ridge Meadows and there is some regional travel. All Star teams may also qualify to participate in the Mosquito Provincials.

This is an excellent program designed to assist players further developing their baseball skills in a competitive environment.
