General Information about Bantam:
Bantam is a tiered division throughout the year. It is also the first division that both our AAA and AA teams become Single Season teams, meaning that evaluations that occur during the winter months, determine the AAA and AA teams that will play one long season from the end of March through to the end of July with the goal of making it to the Provincial Championship Tournament. Our A summer team also compete for a spot in their own Provincial Championships.
Each season will have tryouts to determine competitive teams and recreational teams. Specific dates for these will be added to the website and emailed out to members once they are determined.
Programs:
Fall Ball - First week of September until mid October (approximately 6 weeks)
Registration for Fall Opens at the beginning of June and closes August 15
Players wishing to play in the competitive tier will have evaluations during the first week of the fall program.
The competitive program will run as a single group with two weekday practices and games or scrimmages every weekend. Considerations will be made for a Thanksgiving weekend tournament, dependent upon player availability and interest.
Players that do not make the competitive program will be placed on a recreation team with two field times per week, one weekday practice and one weekend game.
No friend requests are allowed in this division or any older divisions
Practices/Games are held at Larry Walker Field
Winter After School Program - November to March
Competitive groups will train together twice a week at our Indoor Facility
Tryouts for those groups happen mid October and these groups train together throughout Winter
We offer our Sunday Night Lights program for 12 weeks over Winter for those recreational players who wish to continue some baseball over the winter months
Registration for Winter opens late September and closes mid October
Spring Ball - Early April to Mid June (approximately 10 weeks)
Registration for Spring opens on December 15
Evaluations to determine the competitive team and to create balanced, recreational teams will take place in February.
There will be 1 AAA and 1 AA Single Season team (running throughout the summer months as well as spring)
All other players will play an interlock schedule in our A division amongst our other A RMMBA teams and teams from other associations
No friend requests are allowed in this division or any older divisions
